THE BACKING IS PART OF THE DESIGN

Solid black backings.
Supported artwork.

Your mascot sits on a solid black oval, square or rectangle. We do not contour-cut these small graphics around the mascot. The complete backing shape must fit the equipment face.

That black background holds fine details together and makes the application easier to handle and install.

ON EXISTING EQUIPMENT

in a real weight room.

This supplied Rockwall photo shows logos added to the available face areas of bumper plates, alongside the existing brand and weight markings.

A SIMPLE WAY TO START

Check your logo size
before ordering.

Print the Mascot Monster size guide at 100% / Actual size. Check the one-inch scale, cut out a sample, and hold it against your dumbbell or plate. Send us a photo with the usable face measurements.

Three pages: actual-size samples and a placement guide. Compare the entire black backing shape, not just the mascot. Start up to 1½ inches for dumbbells or 2½ inches for plates; larger applications need a separate review.

01

Choose a location.

Look for a smooth or lightly textured flat area. Keep weight markings, manufacturer information, raised lettering, grip openings, hubs and impact edges clear. Photograph each equipment model and size.

02

Check the whole shape.

Print at Actual size. Measure the one-inch check line, then try a cutout on the usable face. Allow the planned ⅛–¼ inch edge inset. A size that fits one weight may not fit the next.

03

Count every face.

One logo per face means 2 per plate or 4 per dumbbell pair. Two per face means 4 per plate or 8 per pair, where space allows. Bar ends are counted separately.

ENGINEERED FOR THE APPLICATION

Performance starts
at the surface.

Secure adhesion or powerful magnetic hold. We select the application that gives your equipment a durable finish and your team a distinctive look.

PATENTED GRAPHIC SYSTEM

Patented graphics.
Built to last.

Give your logo a sharp, durable finish on equipment in daily use. Our proprietary graphic system combines detailed, full-color artwork with bonding formulations selected for each surface—for secure adhesion and a clean, integrated appearance.

Our proprietary graphic system is protected by awarded U.S. and British patents.

MONSTERMAG MAGNETIC OVERLAYS

Powerful hold.
Ultra-thin profile.

MonsterMag combines powerful magnetic hold with a sleek, ultra-thin profile and a durable branded finish. Position it. Press it into place. Lift and reposition when needed—with no adhesive and no adhesive residue.

Made for compatible magnet-receptive equipment surfaces. Easy to install, with no drilling or added fasteners.

How we match the application to your equipment

We select the graphic construction and bonding formulation for the equipment surface, finish and use. MonsterMag is an option for approved magnet-receptive faces such as header plates and station-number locations. Dumbbell, plate and bar-end logos use our engineered graphic system. Each order includes the preparation, installation and care directions for its applications.

Application details: magnetic overlays, engineered graphics, existing surfaces and number tiles.
Fit, edge clearance & fine artwork details
⅛–¼ in.

⅛–¼ inch edge clearance.

We leave approximately ⅛–¼ inch of the existing surface visible around the application. The graphic does not wrap or cover the entire flat face.

Fine details need a solid backing.

Whiskers, eyelashes, hairlines and other very thin details stay within a solid background shape. We do not produce them as fragile, isolated cut pieces. This supports graphic strength, simpler installation and lasting presentation.

Keep functional areas clear.

We use existing surfaces. Pads, rollers, grips, adjustment holes, safety labels, vents, moving parts and contact zones remain clear. No replacement metal or ABS branding panels.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Artwork, mockups & installation.

Vector artwork is required.

Every order needs production-ready vector artwork: AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF. A file extension alone does not confirm that the artwork is vector.

Why does the file format matter?

PNG, JPG and GIF files are made from pixels. A PDF can also contain only a picture. Enlarging that artwork can soften edges or make the image look pixelated. Vector paths keep the shapes sharp at the required size; we confirm color references separately.

Start by asking your original designer, athletic department or district communications office for the vector file.

No vector file? We can create it.

Our in-house creative studio can rebuild your logo for large-format production. The service is priced by the work required.

Level 1 — Basic

Simple logos with clean shapes, few colors and a usable original. Mostly tracing and light cleanup.

Level 2 — Standard

Moderate detail, multiple colors, text or outlines that need rebuilding, or an original that needs noticeable cleanup.

Level 3 — Complex

Detailed mascots, shading, fine linework or a low-quality original that needs substantial redrawing.

Send us your best file. We explain the recommended level, scope and price, and get your approval before work begins.

When you purchase vector recreation, you receive the completed vector file for future use.

BEFORE YOU START

Your questions, answered.

Can you brand equipment we already own and use?

Yes. Retrofit branding is designed for eligible existing equipment, including racks, benches, GHD frames, machine shrouds, dumbbell ends, bumper plate faces and barbell end caps. We review the exact model, condition and application surface first.

Which material will you use on our equipment?

We specify our proprietary engineered graphic system or MonsterMag for each approved location. The graphic construction and bonding formulation are selected for the surface and use. MonsterMag pairs an ultra-thin profile with powerful magnetic hold on compatible magnet-receptive faces. Dumbbell, plate and bar-end logos use the engineered graphic system.

Will the magnetic overlay leave adhesive residue?

MonsterMag uses magnetic hold rather than adhesive. You can lift and reposition it without leaving adhesive residue. Follow the supplied guidance to keep the overlay and equipment surface clean. Engineered adhesive graphics use their own installation and removal procedure.

Are metal plates, ABS panels or equipment included?

No. We produce graphic and magnetic overlays for suitable surfaces that already exist on your equipment. We do not manufacture replacement metal or ABS branding panels, and equipment is not included.

When do we receive the custom application layouts?

We first confirm your project scope, application suitability and quote. Detailed layouts begin once your order or purchase order is accepted. You approve the application artwork and placement before production. Approval proofs are not print-ready files for third-party production.

Can our staff install the applications?

Yes. These approved equipment applications are designed for self-installation by maintenance staff, a strength coach or an assistant using the supplied material-specific written guides. Follow the directions for preparation, positioning and any required time before use.

Can you produce thin whiskers, eyelashes or isolated fine lines?

Very thin details must be contained within a solid background shape. We do not produce fragile isolated cut details. Our team plans the backing shape and approximately ⅛–¼ inch edge inset for strength, installation and a clean finished appearance.

Does our equipment have to be from one manufacturer?

No. Send the manufacturers and exact models in your equipment list. Our template library covers many major brands; fit and material suitability are still confirmed for each application. Coverage is not assumed from brand name alone.

Dumbbell & plate logo questions
Can you add logos to dumbbells and bumper plates after purchase?

Yes. We can brand eligible new or used dumbbells, bumper plates and Olympic plates. Send the manufacturer, exact model, finish and close-up photos. Smooth or lightly textured faces are the starting point; rough texture, damaged coatings or raised features can rule out a location.

Are dumbbell and plate logos cut to the mascot silhouette?

No. These graphics use a solid black oval, square or rectangular background. The mascot sits within that shape. Fine lines remain supported, and the backing shape—not just the colored artwork—must fit the available face.

What size logo fits my dumbbells or weight plates?

Start with our actual-size PDF samples, 1 to 2½ inches wide. Our established kit guidance uses up to 1½ inches for dumbbell logos and up to 2½ inches for plate logos; these are planning limits, not a fit guarantee. Larger sizes are reviewed and quoted separately. Print at 100%, check the one-inch scale, and photograph a cutout on your equipment. Each model and size can have a different usable face.

Where should the logo go on a plate or dumbbell?

Choose a flat, usable face area that leaves the manufacturer and weight information readable. Stay clear of raised lettering, hubs, grip openings, rims and contact zones. On dumbbells, review both end faces. The placement diagrams show starting locations; photos and measurements determine the final fit.

How many logos do I need?

For plates, one logo on each face means two logos per plate; two on each face means four. A pair of dumbbells has four end faces: one logo on each end means four logos per pair, or eight with two on each end where space allows. Confirm whether your quantity counts individual plates, individual dumbbells or dumbbell pairs.

Are the free-weight logos magnetic?

Dumbbell, plate and bar-end logos use our engineered graphic system, with bonding selected for the approved surface. MonsterMag is reserved for suitable magnet-receptive equipment faces such as header plates and station-number locations.

What artwork do you need for small equipment logos?

Every order needs production-ready AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF. Send your best file for review. If it needs rebuilding, we quote the work and get your approval first. When you purchase vector recreation, you receive the completed vector file for future use.
